Acres Architects Driving Forward

Despite it being a very tough year for lots of people Nottingham based Acres Architects have seen a significant upturn in business in 2020 thanks to the hard work and effort of the entire team. They recently saw an overall 25% increase in sales compared to last year in Q2 and Q3. A further 7% over and above targets set by the practice prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic. In fact in October 2020 Acres Architects has had the most sales in one month in the 12 years it has been in operation.

This has resulted in 2020 confirmed sales of over 30% increase in turnover from the previous year by the end of financial year. Which is 15% over and above targets prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Edward Acres, founder and Managing Director of the Multi-Award winning Acres Architects, a Nottingham Based Chartered Architects practice commented

Our Positioning has started to pay off.  Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic we have continued to grow as a business in key areas. In 2018 we re-branded and re-launched as Acres Architects with a special focus on Residential Development. This rebrand followed the company’s true passion and ethos that ‘HOME’ is the truest form of Architecture. The place where individuals, feel comfort, security, and a true sense of belonging. As a residential specialist we cater for a wide variety of projects within the residential sector and therefore we are seeing the increases in sales.

Due to the pandemic, many property developers are looking in much closer detail at the Residential Market for the nuisances and special ideas that can make their development stand out from the crowd. Pushing them to find pastures new instead of returning to the same designer’s time and time again. With our Unique position as Residential Specialist we have become a ‘go to’ for those ambitious developers looking for something a little extra and a thoroughly future considered approach to their Build to Rent, Luxury Development and Social housing schemes.  We have therefore seen great increases in well established developers coming to us for the first time.

By coincidence, the private sectors works have also increased as families and individuals realise the importance of having the ‘Dream Home’.  With time at home increasing as our office life changes for ever; private clients are looking to purchase that new home or plot with the Governments incentive of Stamp Duty relief and turn it into that ‘Dream Home’ now more than ever”.

We have more projects in the pipeline and more completions than ever before. To manage this increase and to continually deliver the very best service our clients, we have expanded the team and added even more talent.

We have taken on 4 new people in the team in 2020. Joining the team this year are Owen Cockle our BIM (Building information Modelling) Manager, Joseph Hall is our Part 1 Architectural Assistant and visualisation champion. James Bridgett joins as an Architectural Technologist and Steve Taylor-Wilson joins as Marketing Manager.

Acres on Pole

As a way of celebrating this fantastic achievement the team took to the racetrack recently and went on a trip to the local Go Kart track. Edward commented “It’s important that we celebrate success and do something fun as a team, we had an absolute blast around the track and the team we’re really keen to emulate the success of recent months and do something similar again”

More to come

Not to rest on their laurels Edward Acres and the team are keen to push on and make 2021 even bigger and better and already have big plans for the New Year.

We already have some amazing projects in the pipeline and we’re really looking forward to our continual growth next year and beyond. Watch this space…
