Bottle Kiln is situated on a site in West Hallam. Previously it was a reputable visitor attraction and the objective was to convert the site into a small, but distinctive, retirement village comprising of 6 bespoke semi detached bungalows. The project required a great deal of research to ensure the viability of this project and how best to use the site to maximise the space and provide suitable living accomodation as a retirement home. The previous site included a number of listed Grade II buidlings so consideration had to be given to this element of the project. The final design included high quality living spaces, communal areas and a tranquil garden to the rear of the site.
