Brief: To consolidate the external appearance of the dwelling, which expanded to include an internal renovation and additional rear extension.
We were approached by a private client who wanted to consolidate the external appearance of their home, to tie in with the extensions that he had made to the property over the decades. After a period of investigation, our client was open to suggestions regarding an internal remodel. The proposed design by Acres Architects was to extend and modernise the front façade with a protruding soffit and a corner strip of vertical floor to ceiling glazing. The additional timber cladding softens the overall palate and the choice of render would ensure that all extensions tie in with each other. The dark metal trim outlines the external shape of the dwelling, creating a unique and lasting impression.
