Acres Architects were contacted by the owner of a wonderful detached house in the beautiful and popular town of Wilmslow. This 90’s detached house is in a fantastic location and our clients wanted to create additional space for them and their young children. We were asked how the property could be improved and help create a bright, open space and improve the kitchen / dining space. They love the outdoor space and wanted a way to maximise this fantastic feature ready for entertaining family and friends.
The project included a rear single storey extension with internal alternations with underfloor heating throughout and completed by the new sliding corner doors with floor to ceiling glazing giving easy access to the landscaped garden and seating area.
Reclaimed bricks were carefully selected for the extension to match the existing building, so it looks like it was always part of the house. The internal and external tiles match in style and layout so it brings the outside in and vice versa.
In addition to supporting the clients during the contractor tendering process Acres Architects also acted as contract administrator to ensure all building works were delivered on time and on budget. All whilst meeting the highest possible standards.
